Morah Amy
Hi all! My name is Amy.  I am thrilled to bring my passion for teaching to Tamim this year.

With over 8 years of teaching experience in both Hong Kong and Toronto, I have had the opportunity to work with students across a wide spectrum, from Kindergarten to Grade 12, in various educational settings. My teaching journey has included guiding gifted students, supporting those with special learning needs, and adapting to classrooms of different sizes, ranging from 37 students to intimate groups of 5.I am an Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) with qualifications that allow me to teach from Kindergarten to Grade 12. I am dedicated to creating inclusive and engaging learning environments where every student can thrive.

Learning is my passion. I hold degrees in Education and English Language Studies from Metropolitan University of Hong Kong, and I have pursued further education in Counseling and Psychology (Education) from the University of Hong Kong to better understand and support my students and their families. I firmly believe that teaching and learning go hand in hand, and my goal is to inspire a love for learning in each student, helping them become inquisitive lifelong learners.

In my classroom, I strive to create a positive and interactive learning atmosphere where students not only absorb knowledge but also actively participate in hands-on activities. My teaching philosophy is centered around the idea that involvement leads to true learning: “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”

I am looking forward to a great year ahead, collaborating with my esteemed colleagues, nurturing the growth of my beloved students, and building strong partnerships with supportive parents and guardians. Together, let’s make this year a memorable and enriching learning journey for all.
